Beginning August 4th The Pinnacle will now offer half price wine by the bottle Mondays through Thursday. Also, a new daily menu item will be your choice of soup or salad with a half sandwich for only $10.95.
The Pinnacle will offer great panoramic views, outstanding Mediterranean style food, and high quality service for lunches 7 days a week. Set on a 1,500 foot hilltop, The Pinnacle will offer customers seating either in the air conditioned indoors or on the open-air outdoor balcony. The restaurant will also serve as an evening wedding and banquet venue.
In order to handle both the restaurant and wedding/banquet needs, the Falkners
have hired an outstanding chef: E. Dennis van Rumund. Chef
Dennis, as he likes to be called, hails from the Netherlands and graduated
from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
He served as Chef for the commanding officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal serving notable guests such as General Wesley Clark, Alexander Haig, the Secretary of the Navy, and numerous foreign dignitaries. He has also worked as Chef at the Marriott; banquet Chef for the upscale Treadway Hotel; Sous Chef for the Italian cuisine Fontana Bianchi; Catering Chef for Interstate United; and Executive Chef and owner of the Lace Apron in Fallbrook. Chef Dennis has been responsible for catering numerous weddings and wine dinners at Falkner Winery and will serve as Executive Chef.
Loretta Falkner, co-owner of Falkner Winery, says, “We are very excited to have both Dennis and Cory as our chefs. They have earned a great reputation for food creativity and quality. Based on our reputation for customer service and a unique hilltop location, we will become the premier wedding/banquet/event facility in Wine Country for groups up to 175”.Weddings and events are already being booked.
According to her husband Ray “I believe our restaurant will rival others in Wine Country; plus we offer another unique dining experience in our VIP Room located in our “Wine Cave” below the Restaurant”. The VIP Room is a barrel shaped room, separately air controlled, with windows around to see all the Falkner’s barrels and case goods that are stored in this constant 60 degree area. With seating up to 20 people, this is an ideal location for executive outings and small, unique parties.
